Stewardship Well Done Journey
STEP TWO on the STEWARDSHIP WELL DONE JOURNEY is building a BUDGET.
Prepare and follow a budget that includes giving all along the way.
Yes, we are talking about a budget. The word “budget” can stir up many emotions, but remember, very little happens by chance.
Start by assigning your money towards the things you have decided are most important. We encourage you to allocate your first dollars towards giving and saving and trying to live on the balance for your expenses.
If you are having trouble getting started, you can download the simple worksheet we created from our site and get started with pen and paper. Or, if you want a deeper dive that is more automated, try using a free online resource or phone app – most will sync to your bank account and make it easy to see exactly what you are spending.
Remember to review your budget monthly and adjust as you go. If you are tempted to quit, don’t! Freedom flows from the intentional actions you take with your resources. Over time, you will understand where you use your money and how it lines up with your priorities.
